Troubleshooting: Insufficient memory message Translate time ?
While not very likely, it is possible to get an insufficient memory message when translating a race card. If your computer has 8 MB of RAM or more, you absolutely will be able to solve the problem by following the directions below.
The out-of-memory problem can be solved by changing your Virtual Memory (Swap File) setting to the setting recommended by Windows. The process is very simple.
1. Click the "CONTROL PANEL" icon in the Main Program Group of Program Manager.
2. Click the "386 ENHANCED" icon.
3. Click the "VIRTUAL MEMORY" button on the right hand side.
4. Click the "CHANGE" button on the right hand side.
Windows now shows you the current Swap File settings on the top and the recommended Swap File settings on the bottom. An out-of-memory problem on an 8 MB computer is almost always caused by the Swap File being too small and below the recommended setting.
5. Change the size of the Swap File by typing in the recommended size in the box provided.
6. Click the "OK" button on the top right hand side.
7. Windows will tell you that it needs to reboot the computer in order for the change to take effect. Answer "YES".
After your computer reboots, simply start up ALL-Ways and you should be able to run without any memory problems.
