Why are the payoffs for Daily Doubles and Pick 3’s always put in the results for the first race of the sequence instead of the last race in the sequence?
The results files list the payoffs for Daily Doubles in the second race of the two and for Pick 3’s in the third race of the three. ALL-Ways, however, puts the results in the first race of the sequence. This was done so ALL-Ways could tell when it came across the start of a Daily Double or a Pick 3. It is certainly possible to change this practice. However, it is not advisable to do so because it would not be compatible with the thousands of ALL-Ways databases currently being use by ALL-Ways handicappers.
